1.      Objectives

a)                 Kowledge

The Master program of Environmental Technology aims to educate environmental scientists who will be able to contribute to use, control, manage and protect natural resources, environment as well as contribute into sustainable development.

b)                 Skills

After two years of program, students are expected to be able to conducting reseaches, analyzing, assessing as well as proposing scientific solutions in dealing with iusses related to protect natural resources, handle wastes and minimize climate change impacts on local communities as well. The students are also expected to plan - project - adapt to natural disasters and environmental consequences, which caused by overexploration of  natural resources, to ensure sustainable development at local and regional levels.

c)        Potential of Jobs

Students, after graduation, could probably work in governmental organizations from central to local ones, which related to environment & natural resources; in industrial parks, industrial companies as well as international organizations and NGOs; and (or) in research-related organizations etc.

2.     Duration of Program

This Master program will take 2 years, normally.

3.      Intake

a)                 Eligibility

-      Have Engineer Degree of following Fields of sutdy: Environmental Technology; Environmental Management; Protection and Management of Resources.

-      Have Engineer and/or Bachelor Degree of Following Fields of study: Environmental Science; Cartography; Irrigation; Chemistry; Construction etc. In this case, however, students are required to take part in several professional courses, in advance, that include: Environmental Management & Sustainable Development Courses; Air Treatment Technologies; Water & Wastewater Treatment Technologies.

b)               Number of student of each year

About 20 - 30 each year

c)                Required subjects for intake examination

-      Advanced Mathematics

-      Basic of Environmental Technology

-      Foreign Laguage: English as followed regulation of Ministry of Education and Training; and others such as Russia, French, German, Chinese.

5.      Graduation requirements

a)       Achieve 46 - 48 credits, in which:

-           General courses: 5 credits; Professional courses 30 credits.

-           Thesis: 12 credits with final grade at least 5 (total of 10).

b)    Foreign Language: English TOEFL 450 điểm/ IELTS 5.0/ iBT 45.
